Organic Chamomile Tea Long revered in many cultures for its curative properties, the Chamomile flower continues to be used to calm and soothe restless nerves, and is often taken as a relaxing herbal tea at bedtime. The finest varieties, of which our Chamomile numbers, come from Egypt. Only organically grown Egyptian Chamomile flower heads have been selected. When steeped, it yields a naturally caffeine free, deep golden infusion suggesting honey and fruit blossoms. We are confident that Cleopatra would approve!

Tea Tales

The Greek historian Herodotus wrote that 'Egypt is the gift of the Nile'. Its life giving water induced the ancient Egyptians to create a god, Hapi on whose watch the Nile flooded its banks dependably for over three thousand years. Discovering the source of the Nile became a quest for the ages. It was the American explorer Henry Morton Stanley who verified John Speke's 1858, and up to then unconfirmed discovery of Lake Victoria as the source, beating out Briton David Livingstone whom he greeted later, ill and sulking in his camp with the famous words, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?"
