Tea Tales

The mango is believed to be native to the Southern and South East Asia including India and Burma. The Hindu Vedas make reference to this exquisitely scented and flavoured fruit as the ‘food of the gods'. Akbar the Great, emperor and great lover of the mango, extended this privilege to the Moghul court and is said to have planted an orchard of 100,000 mango trees, ensuring a steady (and sizable) supply of only the best varietals to his court.
