Kashmiri Chai

The Quick Sip
In Kashmir, green tea leaves have traditionally been used for making chai. Our blend combines flavourful green Sencha and Assam teas with freshly ground combination of warm spices such as cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.

Tea Tales

The Samovar, tea making implement typical of the tea drinking scene of Russia and Persia, is also a tradition in Kashmir. Normally drunk without milk, spice-scented green tea called ‘kahava', is poured from the samovar, though semi-oxidized tea is also used. Pounded nuts such as pistachios and almonds are mixed in, and interestingly salt is often used, turning the tea to a pinkish hue.
