Green Tea
In Asia, green tea has been drunk over the millennia, and the many interesting varieties are enjoyed for their interesting and complex flavours. Thanks to its gentle freshness and clean flavour, along with the abundance of inherent health benefits, green tea is getting very popular with new tea drinkers. Language of the Leaf has a fine selection of ‘straight’ green teas, as well as delicious scented, flavoured and powdered green teas – choose from among your favourites.
Health Benefits of drinking Green Tea
Green tea contains large amounts of antioxidant catechins, compounds that boast many anti-cancer properties. Especially as you age, green tea also helps bolster the body's defences, as well as being very good for metabolism. A cup of green tea has only about 5% of the caffeine of a cup of coffee.
