Tea Tales
Black teas from the Yunnan province are from the broader leafed Camellia Assamica variety, and this makes sense for it's not distant as the crow flies from Assam in India. It is said to be in this general area, where India, China and Burma meet that the tea bush originated. More black tea is produced here than anywhere else in China. Yunnan's black tea originates mostly in Menghai in the southernmost part of the province. The fat tippy khaki and black buds produce a peppery, rich and yet subtle tea.
Customer Reviews
‘A very interesting tea. I have always preferred Assams because it is a satisfying cup for me. I decided to give this tea a try as it was described as being ‘peppery’ and I was curious as to how it would taste. The description holds true. I like mine without milk and sugar, but my wife prefers it with milk and sugar. Either way, give this a try. If you like black teas, this is a must have.’ Edgar & Cynthia
‘This is something different. I tried it and like it. My dad likes it too now'. Samantha G
