The Quick Sip
Fuller bodied and stronger than an English Breakfast, this broken leaf Irish Blend is dominated by the maltiness of hearty Assams teas. With its more full bodied flavour, it stands ready as a faithful and tasty accompaniment to the heartiest of breakfasts. It readily takes a drop of milk, and also makes a generous afternoon tea.
Tea Tales
Irish Breakfast teas have usually contained a higher amount of Assam, although no one knows quite how the Irish acquired this preference. It may be the luck of the Irish, but Ireland historically accessed the choicest black teas. These days, Irish Breakfasts contain mostly African (think Kenyan), not Assam teas. Either way, the malty and full bodied flavour of both provides a suitable accompaniment to a hearty breakfast.
