The Quick Sip
Organic Black Tea
This very pleasant 'tippy' Assam from the Rembeng estate yields a well balanced burgundy hued cup with malty, honey overtones. A lovely second flush (summer) tea, our Rembeng makes a ideal accompaniment to breakfast. Can be enjoyed on its own or with a drop of milk.
Tea Tales
By the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra river, this region is the largest tea producer in India and the world. The tea bushes grown here are of the Camellia Assamica variety, with large broad leaves, which produce particularly ‘tippy' teas yielding a spicy deep red liquor favoured by drinkers seeking a full bodied cup. Teas from Assam will happily accommodate milk. The second flush or summer Assams are harvested from May to late June, and are characterized by handsome golden leaves giving a dark, malty liquor with a pronounced aroma.
